West Chester Borough council members voted 6-0 Wednesday night to have the Borough Solicitor prepare a resolution of censure in order to have member Bill Scott removed from the committee. Bill Scott is a member of the Events and Quality of Life, Small Growth, Public Safety and Finance committees in the West Chester Borough. Scott was reported to have made racist remarks, leaving the rest of the Borough Council members shocked by his actions. After the remarks were made, a unanimous vote to have Scott resign was formed. Mayor Dianne Herrin will be hosting a meeting September 9th regarding the outcome of this incident.
