According to West Goshen Township Police, on Monday, March 5 shortly after 6 a.m., police discovered that someone had vandalized the fields at the West Goshen Township Community Park, located at 1023 Fernhill Road. The suspect had driven his vehicle over the curb and then out into the field. He drove in circles leaving ruts and damaging the grass. Detectives were able to obtain video and pictures of the truck as it fled the scene on North Five points Road. Later that day, while investigating the incident, detectives observed a vehicle, that matched the suspect’s vehicle, return to the park. Detectives began to observe the driver, and he was observed as he parked and walked out into the fields. He was watched as he took video of the damage he caused to the park. He was identified as 19-year-old Steven M. Holley of Philadelphia. Holley was arrested and charged with felony criminal mischief, felony institutional vandalism and trespass by motor vehicle. A preliminary hearing has been scheduled before District Justice William Kraut. The park was closed until it can be repaired at a later time.
