Landmark Americana Tap and Grill, which was located at the Corner of Gay and Darlington Streets in West Chester, has closed its doors for business. The restaurant, part of a chain with locations in Glassboro, and Ewing, N.J., as well as two locations in Phila., featured a full menu and live music and is a popular hangout for college students. The Ewing Landmark Americana location received some bad publicity last month after a man who had spent several hours drinking there crashed into a car of college students, killing its driver, 20-year-old Michael Sot. That driver, 22-year-old David Lamar V had a blood-alcohol content nearly three times the legal limit, according to a report on NJ.com. The reason for the West Chester location’s closure has not been released.
