According to North Coventry Township Police, on July 24 their department responded to the Boscov’s at the Coventry Mall on the report of a retail theft in progress. Boscov’s Loss Prevention observed 24-year-old James Urban and 32-year-old Paul Levengood select several electronic devices and walk through the store. Urban gave Levengood merchandise to carry, and they exited the store without paying for those items. The Police and Loss Prevention located Urban inside the Coventry Mall and took him into custody. The Police recovered suspected methamphetamine from Urban. Levengood was located outside in the Boscov’s parking lot by Loss Prevention. Levengood was taken into custody. Loss Prevention recovered the stolen merchandise in Levengood’s vehicle. The value of the stolen merchandise totaled $88.95. North Coventry Police filed charges against Urban for drug possession and retail theft. Levengood was charged with retail theft and receiving stolen property. Both subjects were processed and later released.
