PennDOT announced Thursday that overnight lane restrictions are scheduled on Route 29 (Main Street/Manavon Street/Starr Street/Bridge Street) between Pothouse Road and the Montgomery County line in Schuylkill Township and Phoenixville Borough, on Sunday, November 11, through Tuesday, November 13, from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m., for paving operations as part of an improvement project to repair and resurface 17 miles of state highway in Chester County. Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work area because slowdowns will occur. The contractor’s schedule is dependent on the weather.
State highway completed under this resurfacing project include:
- Business U.S. 30 (Lancaster Avenue) from south of Route 113 (Uwchlan Avenue) to north of Cornerstone Boulevard in Downingtown Borough and East Caln Township.
Additional state highways scheduled for resurfacing under this contract include:
- Route 401 (Conestoga Road) between the Berks County line and Route 100 (Pottstown Pike) in Elverson Borough, and West Nantmeal, East Nantmeal and West Vincent townships;
- Dorlan Mill Road from Route 282 (Creek Road) to just north of Longfields Way in East Brandywine and Upper Uwchlan townships; and
- Route 345 (Pine Swamp Road) between Warwick Road and the Berks County line in Warwick Township.
