PennDOT announced Tuesday that it has reopened the bridge carrying Pocopson Road over Pocopson Creek in Pennsbury and Pocopson townships, following the completion of a rehabilitation project. Over the last six weeks, PennDOT’s contractor worked to rehabilitate the bridge by removing and rebuilding three of the four wingwalls and performing other
miscellaneous repairs on the structure. Built in 1929, the single-span concrete encased steel I-beam bridge is 32 feet long, 20 feet wide and carries an average of 1,685 vehicles a day.
