According to Coatesville Police, they were dispatched to the 300 block of Valley Road in Coatesville for the report of a stabbing. Police say that they were told that 34-year-old Brian Boggs was stabbed and taken to Paoli Memorial Hospital, with wounds to his face and back. Police investigated and later learned after interviewing Boggs that he and his companion, 35-year-old Candiss Brown, told paramedics that Boggs was robbed and stabbed by two black men. However, they learned that Boggs was trying to cover up a domestic incident in which Brown assaulted Boggs during an altercation. Both Brown and Boggs confessed to leading police to believe there had been a crime, and each was charged with multiple charges, including aggravated assault and false reports to law enforcement.
