Lt. Gov. John Fetterman hosted a listening tour Monday in Downingtown to talk about the prospect of legalizing recreational marijuana. Attendees included residents from across Chester County. The event was held at Downingtown West High School. Many debated whether marijuana could be addictive or cause an overdose, while some speculated whether or not its use could curb the use of opioids, drugs that have caused the death of many Chester County residents. All opinions on the issue were voiced. Fetterman’s listening tour will cover all 67 counties in the Commonwealth and will continue through the summer. The initiative, sponsored by Gov. Tom Wolf, will review the results of Fetterman’s tour. At its conclusion, Fetterman will provide Gov. Wolf with a report of his findings.
