Today the Chester County Commissioners announced that the county’s Health Department earned accreditation from the Public Health Accreditation Board. The accreditation was given to Chester County because of the county’s excellent disease control, water, home and food quality, immunizations, emergency procedures and more. “This national accreditation confirms our intention to continue our health programs and services at the highest level” Chester County Commissioner’s Chair Michelle Kichline reports to the daily local. The Public Health Accreditation Board is a nation-wide program that is the standard for public health within the United States. Chester County officials are very pleased with this accreditation and are excited to improve the county’s health even more in the years to come.
