Brandywine Hospital announced Tuesday that Vik Acharya is the hospital’s new Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. On March 4, 2019, Acharya joined the Brandywine Hospital executive team, led by Jeff Hunt, President and Chief Executive Officer.
In this role, Acharya is responsible for providing executive leadership to all hospital operations with a strong focus on the delivery of high quality and compassionate care. He has more than 15 years of experience in leadership roles with a focus on leading change and developing teams. Prior to joining Brandywine Hospital, he served as Vice President, Clinical and Procedural Services for University of Chicago Medicine. He holds a Master in Business Administration from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management, a Master of Public Health from Yale University, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Healthcare Administration from Creighton University.
