According to Tredyffrin Township Police, their officers, along with the Berwyn Fire Company EMTs and Paramedics responded to the scene of a cyclist that was hit by a vehicle and seriously injured. According to police, that incident happened Thursday, April 4, near the Chester Valley Trail crossing at Route 202 and Chesterbrook Blvd. in Tredyffrin Township shortly before noon on that date. Police say an eastbound cyclist, with the crossing signal according to witnesses, was struck by a vehicle turning right off the 202 ramp onto Chesterbrook Blvd. The cyclist was conscious at the time of the police’s arrival. Police want to remind all trail users when crossing streets to use the traffic signals, when available, be vigilant for turning vehicles, and to try to get the turning driver’s attention and signal when proceeding.
